Grand Cypress Resort is a Resort, 45 hole golf facility located in Orlando, Florida.
Grand Cypress Resort is comprised of 1,500 acres in Orlando, Florida. In January of 1984, the 9-hole North and South courses opened along with the 750-room Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
Two years later, in 1986, the 9-hole East Course opened along with The Villas of Grand Cypress' 146 rooms.
To complete their 45 holes of golf, the 18-hole "New Course" opened to resort guests in 1988. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Set in the middle of an open meadow, the New Course pays tribute to the famed Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. This Scottish links masterpiece is complete with double greens, stone bridges and walls, gorse mounds, burns, and pot bunkers as deep as 12 feet... all in the spirit of true Scottish original.
Very few trees are located within the interior of the course, creating plenty of room to drive the ball. However, even the best of drives will be challenged, as even the slightest slice or fade can cause the best of golfers to find themselves in bunkers or challenging roughs.

I tried the new course but no comparison to the original course. The course was in good condition but did they really need to striate the golf carts to make them look authentic. All it does is provide a very bumpy ride. Will definately go back to the original course, happy I tried the New Course, but will not play it again.
